Laish on tour with a new EP

The brilliant and charming LAISH are just about to embark on a headlining tour around the UK. They begin with a show in Bath on the 19th April. Go watch them!

Thank you to those who braved the Arctic weather to be there with us last night.

Watching and listening to Gannets was an utterly unique experience. Completely captivating. Crazy. I loved it.

Jools and I were joined by the wonderful Martha Rose and Jakob Jonsson towards the end of our set. They added violin and trumpet harmonies to our very new cover of Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World”. We all think the original is terrific.

Note on a gig

On Wednesday 9^th of November I supported the triumphant, heart warming Dancehalls and had the pleasure of hearing the eccentric, joy inducing Bunty for the first time.

The downstairs chamber of The Caxton Arms is pretty cosy.

In the spirit of Willkommen’s collaborative nature I asked the very talented Julian Owen (of Dancehalls and much more) to play drums with me.

I messed up a little. But he knew what he was doing. And I think we managed to keep the crowd from throwing their shoes at us.

Songs seem to have a will of their own at times, and how it feels to play them live can change dramatically in different environments.
